1967 Dodge Coronet R/T By Allan & Denise Lundie

1967 Dodge Coronet R/T By Allan & Denise Lundie

I bought my original 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T used in late 1966, just before I left for the U.S. Army in Jan 1967. Spent 18 months in Viet-Nam and came home in 1969 and married the women of my dreams that I met in the 9th grade and the R/T became our family car. Due to temporary insanity, we sold the R/T and bought a Chevy. Biggest mistake I ever made, so in 1978 we started looking for another 1967 R/T. In 1990 we found one.

Modifications made to the car, the springs have been moved in 2 ½ inches and the rear wheel wells have been mini-tubed, the color is Vivid Carney Yellow. Engine is a 1969 440 RB block machined to .030 and balanced with Keith Black 8.25 flat top pistons, a Crower Cam P/N 32980, with 288° advertised duration .471-inch gross lift and 230° of duration @.050 inch lift. Edelbrock performer RPM heads. The Supercharger is a 671 supercharger, twin 750 Holley carbs, 3 inch billet drive and funny car belt guard. The cooling system consist of a aluminum 4 core radiator, aluminum water pump & housing. Transmission is a Hughes Performance, 727 TorqueFlite with reverse-manual valve body. It has Hooker Super Competition 3 inch headers, flow master mufflers, and the complete exhaust system has been ceramic coated. Hood is from AAR fiberglass reproduction and is a bolt-on hood that was customized for the supercharger. The wheels are Weld prostar aluminum wheels, measuring 15 x 3 ½ up front, with 15 x 11 in the rear with Hoosier tires. The Rear-In is a 4.10 pos gear. Every brake part (steel lines, rubber hoses, rear drums, wheel cylinders) on the car has been replaced, the only brake part not replaced was the brake pedal and stop light switch. Also replaced the front drum brakes with disc brakes.
